Zero waste kitchen

ZERO WASTE KITCHEN: UPCYCLE YOUR KITCHEN WASTE
(Duration: 1.5 to 3 hours)

Featuring:
 Spicy soup (Tom yum)
– Lemongrass & Pandan Tea
– Homemade Citrus Fruit Pectin

In this workshop, the focus is on upcycling. While true zero waste is nearly impossible, zero waste to landfill is a practical and achievable goal. Kitchen scraps can be composted, but before that, why not give them a second life?

We’ll show you how to make aromatic lemongrass and pandan tea from leftover scraps used in Tom Yum, and how to turn spent lime into effective, natural dishwashing liquid. Upcycling allows us to extend the usefulness of what would otherwise become waste.

Key Takeaways:
– Sustainable seafood practices
– Creative ways to upcycle kitchen scraps
– Moving toward zero waste to landfill
